We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Solicitor (minimum 5 years’ PQE) to join the firm in a senior leadership capacity. This is a pivotal role, reporting directly to the Legal Director, CEO, and Executive Board, with significant influence over the firm’s strategic direction. You will play a central role in shaping and delivering the firm’s settlement strategy, strengthening its regulatory compliance framework, and overseeing key legal operations. Working closely with investors, lenders, and external advisers, you will contribute directly to the firm’s continued growth and market position.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Legal Director, CEO, and Executive Board
- Develop and implement a robust settlement strategy aligned with the anticipated Car Finance Redress Scheme
- Ensure full compliance with SRA, FCA, and ICO regulatory requirements
- Support the COLP and COFA, guiding on legal and regulatory matters
- Attend and actively contribute to senior management and board meetings
- Collaborate with investors on settlement strategy and risk management
- Manage relationships with lenders and external legal advisers
- Recruit, build, and lead a high-performing legal and settlement strategy team
- Identify and develop new opportunities within the consumer claims market
About You
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience
- Strong expertise in consumer finance, regulatory law, or complex consumer claims
- Proven experience operating at a senior or board level
- In-depth knowledge of SRA, FCA, and ICO regulatory frameworks
- Commercially minded, with confidence advising senior stakeholders and investors
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including team building and management
- Strategic thinker with a desire to play a key role in long-term business growth
