Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)

Location: Newport (Onsite)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 4:30pm

About the Role

We have an amazing opportunity and looking for a dedicated and supportive Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 classroom support to learners, helping them develop confidence, achieve their goals, and progress in their education and future careers.

You will work closely with tutors to create a positive and inclusive learning environment while supporting learners with their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to learners during training sessions.
  • Help learners complete coursework, assignments, and learning activities.
  • Encourage participation, motivation, and confidence.
  • Support tutors in delivering engaging learning sessions.
  • Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people or a genuine passion for supporting them.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check and Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration.
