We are recruiting a Quality Inspector to join a precision manufacturing environment, ensuring supplier quality and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Salary: £40,000 – £44,000 per annum
Location: Lower Dicker, BN27 (on-site)
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect components and sub-assemblies against technical drawings
- Manage supplier quality issues, raising NCRs and driving resolutions
- Conduct root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are completed
- Monitor supplier performance and support audits
- Apply AQL inspection plans and maintain ERP system data
- Champion “right first time” and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment
- Experience working to ISO 9001 standards
- Strong understanding of metrology equipment (e.g. CMM, Faro Arm)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of quality tools such as SPC and AQL
Desirable:
- Experience with welding/fabrication or vacuum industry
- Exposure to supplier quality management
Qualifications:
- HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar (or equivalent experience)
