Hire Controller in Leeds

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Hire Controller / Hire Desk Controller to join a leading company within the construction and equipment hire industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in Plant, Powered Access, Tool Hire, Lifting Equipment or Material Handling who enjoys working with customers and coordinating equipment, engineering and transport to ensure everything runs smoothly. As a Hire Controller, you will be the key link between customers, the engineering team and transport department, ensuring the right equipment is available, prepared and delivered to customer sites on time. Location: Candidates must have the following skills, experience and qualifications to be considered: * Previous experience within Plant Hire, Powered Access, Tool Hire, Lifting Equipment or Material Handling * Experience working within a hire desk or similar customer-facing environment * Excellent customer service skills * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Good Microsoft Office and general IT skills * Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks * Ability to work effectively under pressure * Strong attention to detail * A proactive and helpful approach Key responsibilities will include: * Handling customer hire enquiries via telephone, email and online ordering systems * Monitoring and updating equipment availability on internal systems * Coordinating with engineering teams to ensure equipment is prepared and ready * Working closely with transport teams to arrange timely delivery and collection * Acting as a friendly and professional point of contact for customers and colleagues * Ensuring customers receive a high level of service throughout the hire process * Supporting the depot in achieving operational and customer service targets * Ensuring company procedures, compliance and health and safety requirements are followed You will receive: * Competitive salary * Opportunity to join a growing and established business * Full training and support * Career development opportunities * 25 days holiday plus BH's * Working hours 07:30am to 16:30pm * Company pension * Life Insurance x 2 salary * Employee Perks * Car Parking at all sites Due to the high volume of applications Recruited UK receives, we will make every effort to respond with feedback, although this is not always possible.
