We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on Production Engineer Graduate to join a specialist manufacturing business permanently. You’ll be joining a collaborative and forward-thinking team where you will play a key role in supporting production engineering activities, improving manufacturing processes, and contributing to technically advanced engineering solutions. As a Production Engineer Graduate, you will support the Production Engineering team across a wide range of technical and manufacturing activities, helping to optimise processes, improve efficiency, and support the introduction of new products into production.
Duties will include:
- Assisting with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes
- Supporting the development and maintenance of manufacturing routes and BOMs within the ERP system
- Assisting with technical quotations and accurate cost estimates
- Supporting process improvement and cost reduction initiatives
- Assisting with the creation and maintenance of work instructions and process documentation
- Developing product knowledge relating to UHV components and assemblies
- Supporting ERP system training for staff members
- Assisting with ECN reviews and actions
- Supporting 8D and NCR investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Assisting with the design of Vacuum Chambers using 3D CAD models and 2D production drawings
- Supporting the review of customer drawings for build-to-print projects
- Assisting with fixture design for manufacturing processes
- Supporting DFMEA and PFMEA activities in line with PPAP requirements
- Liaising with customers and suppliers where required
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree or HNC in Engineering
- Experience using CAD software
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Open-minded and eager to learn new ideas and processes
- Hands-on engineering mindset with the ability to work on complex assemblies
- Previous engineering or manufacturing experience would be advantageous

Working Conditions:
This role will involve occasional travel to client sites, meetings, and events where required. Travel will be planned wherever possible, and all reasonable expenses will be covered.
