Employability Youth Tutor – Essential Skills Location: Cardiff / Hybrid 2/3 days in office Contract: Full-Time Driving License Required Hours: 9.00am to 4.30pm Monday Are you passionate about empowering young people to succeed? Do you have the drive to inspire learners and guide them toward achieving meaningful qualifications? If so, we want you to join our team as a Employability Essential Skills Youth Tutor About the Role As a Youth Tutor, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, engaging training and assessment for youth learners. Whether in a classroom, workshop, or one-to-one setting, you’ll support young people in building skills, gaining qualifications, and reaching their full potential. This is more than a teaching role—it’s about mentoring, motivating, and making a real difference. What You’ll Be Doing ✅ Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions tailored to youth learners ✅ Support learners with their specialist qualification route, including vocational and classroom-based elements ✅ Monitor progress and ensure timely qualification achievements ✅ Register and assess learners, conduct controlled tasks, and maintain awarding body standards ✅ Keep accurate records and complete all necessary documentation ✅ Travel across a regional area to meet with learners at their locations ✅ Continuously develop resources and improve your own skills through CPD and standardisation meetings ✅ Maintain high-quality standards and contribute to positive learner outcomes Who We’re Looking For Essential: * Experience in work-based learning and delivering Essential Skills (up to Level 2) * Qualified Assessor (or willingness to work towards it) * A teaching qualification * Great communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills * A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle * IT literate and confident with admin and learner documentation * Knowledge of ESW requirements, safeguarding, and Prevent duties Desirable: * Level 3 Essential Skills Practitioner Certificate * City & Guilds 9300 Level 2 * Welsh speaker What Makes You a Great Fit 🌟 You\'re a motivated self-starter 🌟 You’re passionate about youth development and lifelong learning 🌟 You’re reliable, adaptable, and thrive under pressure 🌟 You’re an excellent team player with a commitment to inclusion and quality 🌟 You demonstrate accountability and take ownership of your goals Why Join Us?
