Internal Quality Assurer (IQA)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 4:30pm About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to lead and develop a team of Assessors, drive quality across apprenticeship programmes and ensure learners receive an outstanding learning experience.

You’ll play a key role in quality assurance, assessor development, sampling, compliance and continuous improvement, while ensuring delivery meets Awarding Organisation, Estyn and regulatory requirements.

  • What You’ll Do
  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of Assessors.
  • Monitor assessment quality, performance and learner outcomes.
  • Manage sampling, verification and IQA activities.
  • Support Assessors with development and improvement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with apprenticeship frameworks and Awarding Organisation requirements.
  • Support EQA visits and maintain high-quality portfolio standards.
  • Embed safeguarding, Prevent, equality, wellbeing and Welsh language and culture across delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement in teaching, learning and assessment. What We’re Looking For Essential:
  • Assessor and IQA qualifications.
  • Relevant occupational competence.
  • Experience delivering training and supporting learners.
  • Strong knowledge of apprenticeship programmes, assessment and IQA processes.
  • Knowledge of Awarding Organisation and Estyn requirements.

* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. Desirable

  • Experience leading IQAs or quality teams.
  • Experience coordinating EQA visits.
  • Experience supporting or participating in an Estyn inspection.
