Looking for a varied logistics role where no two days are the same? We're recruiting a Logistics Assistant to join a well-established manufacturing business. You'll play a key role in keeping production moving by managing stock, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring materials and finished goods are received and dispatched efficiently. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment and have experience in warehouse, stores, or logistics, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Receive, inspect and store incoming materials
- Pick and kit parts for production
- Prepare and dispatch customer orders
- Produce shipping documentation and customs paperwork
- Coordinate deliveries with couriers and freight partners
- Maintain accurate stock records using an ERP system
- Carry out stock checks and cycle counts
- Support warehouse organisation, FIFO stock control and 5S standards
- Load and unload deliveries safely while following health & safety procedures
What We're Looking For
- Experience in warehouse, stores, logistics or import/export
- Manufacturing or engineering environment experience
- Good understanding of stock control and inventory management
- Experience using ERP or stock control systems
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Positive, reliable and able to work as part of a team
Desirable:
- Forklift licence
- Import/export administration experience
- Knowledge of FIFO stock management
- Experience with 5S or continuous improvement
