Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced TIG Welder/Fabricator to join a highly respected engineering and manufacturing business specialising in precision-engineered components and complex fabricated assemblies. This role will involve TIG welding and fabrication of vacuum chambers, components, and sub-assemblies, ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards and within required production timescales. You will also support quality control activities including leak testing operations using specialist helium leak detection equipment within a fast-paced precision engineering environment.

Working Hours

  • Full-time permanent position
  • Flexible shifts within opening hours Monday to Thursday
  • Early finish on Fridays
  • No weekend work

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in TIG welding
  • BTEC/HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing advantageous

  • Minimum 3 years TIG welding experience
  • Experience welding and fabricating metal components within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience working to tight tolerances and quality standards
  • Good understanding of fabrication and welding processes
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment
  • Ability to work to production deadlines and prioritise workloads effectively
  • Strong understanding of health and safety within a workshop or manufacturing environment
