We have an amazing opportunity for a skilled Quality Engineer to take ownership of quality processes, drive continuous improvement, and play a key role in ensuring high standards across production and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Whys, and other problem-solving tools
- Manage non-conformances (NCR), corrective actions (CAR), and engineering change notices (ECN)
- Own and manage the RMA process, ensuring effective resolution of customer complaints and returns
- Drive continuous improvement (CI) activities across manufacturing processes
- Carry out inspection and quality checks using CMM, Faro Arm, and metrology equipment
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure robust quality standards and processes
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards
- Minimum 5+ years experience as a Quality Engineer within manufacturing
- Strong experience with CI tools: 5S/6S, Kaizen, VSM, Pareto, Ishikawa, QCPC
- Proven ability in root cause analysis and problem solving
- Experience using CMM, Faro Arm, or similar inspection equipment
- Strong understanding of quality systems and process improvement
- Highly organised with a detail-focused approach
- Experience within precision engineering, aerospace, or high-spec manufacturing
- Exposure to vacuum technology or scientific industries
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- HNC/HND/ONC in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality (or similar)
- 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays
- 37 hours per week
