An exciting opportunity to join an established and growing manufacturing business is seeking a Purchasing & Planning Manager to lead procurement and production planning activities. This is a key role where you will take ownership of supplier performance, material availability, and production scheduling to ensure efficient and on-time delivery.
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000
Location: UK (On-site) East Sussex
Full-Time | Permanent
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management within manufacturing
- Experience in production planning, scheduling, and inventory control
- Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable:
- Experience managing or leading a team
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience working in precision engineering or technical manufacturing environments
