RecruitEasy are looking for an experienced Carpenter / Roofing Carpenter to work for our client based in Lynmouth, Devon.
Duration: Long-Term
Start Date: 13-05-2026
Pay Rate: £18.00 - £24.00 per hour, paid weekly. Pay rate depends on experience and/or tickets. We do not use umbrella companies to process your pay.
Job Roles:
- Roofing carpentry works on a large manor house renovation
- Making the roof watertight, including repairs and timber renewals
- Installing and repairing rafters, joists and structural roof components
- Working safely at height on a large roof structure
- Moving onto internal works once roofing is complete
- Completing 1st fix carpentry including framing and studwork
- Completing 2nd fix carpentry including doors, skirting and finishing
- Working independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years carpentry experience
- Strong background in roofing carpentry
- Confident working on large roof structures
- Ability to carry out repairs and renewals to a high standard
- Experience with 1st and 2nd fix carpentry
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
