Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality control.
The role will mainly consist of LLOP and container unloading.
We have multiple jobs in Northampton so can accomodate for weekend work, nights and day shift.
Responsibilities
- Perform shipping and receiving duties, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing of goods.
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products to maintain high standards.
- Handle materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
- Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock effectively.
- Execute picking and packing tasks with precision, preparing orders for dispatch.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently for moving heavy items within the warehouse.
- Maintain an organised and clean work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with stock management, including conducting regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all warehouse operations run smoothly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge is beneficial for operating equipment safely.
- Ability to operate forklifts; certification is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Capability to lift heavy items (up to 25 kg) and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems or similar software is desirable.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting.
