The role will entail the following:
- Preparation of samples using various methods, lathe, bandsaw, table cutter, drill and others.
- Preparation and analysis of various pure metals/alloys/chemical samples using XRF, ICP, Analytix Milestone and LECO equipment, to determine qualitative and quantitative chemistries of elemental and gas content results.
- Preparation of certificates of analysis in accordance with customer specifications reporting to laboratory management.
- Interaction with commercial and operations staff to assess the priority of multiple tasks and the order in which they need to be completed.
- Support to the existing laboratory manager and technicians with day-to-day tasks to keep a smooth workflow and on-time testing.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Working or educational knowledge of XRF, ICP and/or LECO used for testing metals, alloys or chemicals (training will be provided).
- Knowledge in Chemistry, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field is desired.
- Computer literate, with moderate to advanced Excel skills.
- Familiar with laboratory systems and software.
- Understanding and knowledge of the periodic table elements.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Educated to A-Level (minimum) or above in appropriate subjects.
