About the Role:
Recruit A Driver are currently recruiting for an experienced Flatbed Van Driver to work with a well-established timber merchant based in Leeds. This is a fantastic temp to perm opportunity for a reliable and professional driver who is confident with flatbed work, load security, and supporting warehouse/yard operations when not out on deliveries. You will be delivering timber products to both private and commercial customers while also assisting with general yard duties during quieter periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a flatbed van delivering timber products safely and efficiently
- Complete up to 6 - 10 drops per shift
- Secure loads using ratchets and straps
- Deliver to mostly site work with occasional residential customers
- Assist with yard duties when not driving in quieter months
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Maintain professional standards and excellent customer service
