Recruit A Driver is currently looking for an experienced Class 2 Driver to provide holiday cover for one of our long-standing clients based in Normanton. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver who enjoys a regular route and is comfortable carrying out a varied driving role.
A paid training day is available on Wednesday 1st July, ensuring you're fully familiar with the route and the job before covering the holiday period.
The Role
- Early morning 02:00 starts from Normanton
- Driving to Dunmow, Essex
- Using a forklift truck to unload and reload transport frames
- Returning the load back to Normanton
- Completing daily vehicle checks and following all transport compliance procedures
- Delivering a professional and reliable service on behalf of our client
This is typically a 10-11 hour shift, offering straightforward work with a consistent route.
What We're Looking For
- A valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Recent commercial Class 2 driving experience
- A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
- A reliable, professional attitude
- Forklift truck experience would be advantageous, or the confidence to carry out loading and unloading duties if training is provided
