Recruit A Driver are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 Driver to work with a well-established client based in Normanton. This role involves transporting granite-loaded A-frames from Normanton to Chieveley (RG17 7TJ) on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and Thurrock (SS17 9FJ) on Tuesday and Thursday. Drivers can expect approximately 10.5-hour shifts with regular weekday work. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional and reliable driver looking for immediate work, with the potential for ongoing employment.
Duties Include:
- Driving a Class 1 vehicle between Normanton and delivery locations
- Transporting up to 7 granite-loaded A-frames per shift
- Offloading granite using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
- Reloading empty A-frames for return journeys
- Ensuring all loads are safely secured
- Completing paperwork and maintaining professional driving standards
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
Shift Information:
- Monday to Friday
- 08:30 start times
- Approximate 10.5-hour shifts
- Immediate starts available
Requirements:
- Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence
- Recent Class 1 driving experience
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Counterbalance FLT licence preferred (FLT refresher can be arranged if required)
- No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences
- Reliable and professional attitude
