About the Role
Recruit A Driver is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 HIAB Drivers for a well-established roofing materials supplier based in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for regular holiday and sickness cover with a respected client. The role involves delivering roofing materials and associated products to roofing contractors, residential properties and construction sites across Leeds, Wakefield, Harrogate and York. You'll typically complete 45 deliveries per day, with the majority of deliveries offloaded using a HIAB crane. Only occasional manual handling is required, making this a varied role where professionalism and customer service are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver roofing materials safely and efficiently to customer sites
- Operate a HIAB crane to unload products safely
- Complete approximately 45 deliveries per shift
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately
- Provide excellent customer service at every delivery
- Assist with occasional manual handling where required
- Comply with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations
Requirements
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid HIAB Certificate (ALLMI or equivalent)
- Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 2 HIAB driving experience preferred
- Maximum 6 penalty points (minor endorsements only)
- Polite, punctual and professional approach with excellent customer service skills
- Reliable and safety-focused attitude
