Pay Rates:

  • Van Driver: £14.50 per hour
  • 7.5 Tonne Driver: £15.00 per hour
  • Class 2 Driver: £15.50 per hour
  • Class 1 Driver: £16.50 per hour

About the Role:

Recruit A Driver is recruiting Van, 7.5 Tonne, Class 2 and Class 1 Drivers to support one of the UK's leading providers of temporary structures and staging during their busy summer season. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of nationwide projects across the events, arts, film, television and sporting industries. Drivers will be involved in delivering and collecting staging, event structures and associated equipment at venues throughout the UK. Most work will involve tramping, making this an excellent opportunity for drivers who enjoy working away and being part of major events nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete nationwide deliveries and collections of event equipment
  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicles at customer sites
  • Carry out daily vehicle safety checks before and after each shift
  • Complete delivery paperwork accurately
  • Represent both Recruit A Driver and our client professionally
  • Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Regulations and all road transport legislation

Requirements:

  • Valid UK driving licence appropriate for the vehicle category (Van, 7.5 Tonne, Class 2 or Class 1)
  • Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card (7.5 Tonne, Class 2 and Class 1)
  • Digital Tachograph Card where required
  • Recent commercial driving experience preferred
  • A flexible approach to nationwide work and regular nights away
  • Physically fit and willing to assist with loading and unloading event equipment
  • Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
