Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: Β£15.50 per hour
Hours: Full-Time | Monday to Friday
Start Times: 06:00 - 07:00
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established UK furniture manufacturer for a Class 1 (Category CE) qualified driver to join their Doncaster-based delivery operation.
Although the role is predominantly Class 2 box vehicle work, drivers must hold a Class 1 (CE) licence as there will be occasional work involving drawbar trailers and swap bodies. This is a hands-on, physically active role delivering high-quality furniture, primarily sofas, to trade warehouses and retail outlets. This is not a two-person delivery role, so drivers must be confident handling large, bulky items independently.
The Role

- Occasional work with drawbar trailers and swap bodies
- Delivering furniture (mainly sofas) to trade warehouses and retail outlets
- Up to 6 local drops per shift
- All deliveries within the local region
- Monday to Friday only, no weekends
- No nights out
- Furniture supplied on wheels for easier movement
- No stairs involved; access is generally straightforward
- Customers may assist with unloading, but drivers must be comfortable working independently
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (Category CE) licence essential
- Minimum 12 months HGV driving experience
- Previous furniture or large goods delivery experience preferred
- Confident with manual handling and working solo
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional approach to work
