Job Description

Pay: £16.50 per hour Location: Halifax Shifts: Ad-hoc | Monday to Friday Start Time: Between 06:00 07:00 AM Job Type: Flexible / Immediate Start

Recruit A Driver are looking for an experienced HGV Hiab Driver to join a timber merchant client in Halifax. This is a flexible role, ideal for drivers who want ad-hoc shifts and the opportunity to work around your lifestyle, while supporting the client with holiday and sickness cover for their large fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Operate HGV vehicles with Hiab cranes safely and efficiently
  • Deliver timber and other goods to commercial and private customers
  • Complete between 4 and 8 drops per shift, depending on delivery locations
  • Start times typically between 06:00 07:00 AM
  • Ad-hoc shifts available Monday to Friday, depending on demand

Requirements

  • Valid HGV UK licence (held for at least 12 months)
  • Recent HGV driving experience (within the last 612 months)
  • Maximum 6 points on licence (minor offences only)
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Up-to-date Driver CPC Qualification
  • Reliable, professional approach with good timekeeping skills
