Recruit A Driver are looking for an experienced HGV Hiab Driver to join a timber merchant client in Halifax. This is a flexible role, ideal for drivers who want ad-hoc shifts and the opportunity to work around your lifestyle, while supporting the client with holiday and sickness cover for their large fleet.
Responsibilities
- Operate HGV vehicles with Hiab cranes safely and efficiently
- Deliver timber and other goods to commercial and private customers
- Complete between 4 and 8 drops per shift, depending on delivery locations
- Start times typically between 06:00 07:00 AM
- Ad-hoc shifts available Monday to Friday, depending on demand
Requirements
- Valid HGV UK licence (held for at least 12 months)
- Recent HGV driving experience (within the last 612 months)
- Maximum 6 points on licence (minor offences only)
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Up-to-date Driver CPC Qualification
- Reliable, professional approach with good timekeeping skills
