Recruit A Driver is on the lookout for a reliable and experienced Class 2 Night Driver for a temp-to-perm position with our Birstall-based client.
The Role: As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Driving Class 2 refrigerated vehicles.
- Safely unloading vehicles at customer premises.
- Delivering products for a leading coffee chain across the North East, York, and Leeds regions.
- Handling caged deliveries and ensuring on-time store drop-offs.
- Using handheld terminals for efficient delivery management.
- Conducting daily vehicle safety checks and promptly reporting any defects.
- Maintaining high safety standards and ensuring vehicles are always in roadworthy condition.
Working Hours:
- Start times: Between 16:00 and 18:00.
- Shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off rotating schedule.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 UK license held for at least 12 months.
- Recent Class 2 driving experience (within the last 6-12 months).
- No more than 6 points on your license (minor offences only).
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Up-to-date CPC Qualification Card.
