Recruitable Staffing are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior Production Operative to join their growing team in Redditch. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced production professional looking to step up with additional responsibilities, working days.
About the Role:
As a Senior Production Operative, you’ll play a key role on the production line, ensuring quality standards are maintained while supporting and guiding line operatives. You’ll work hands-on in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of line management duties and helping to deliver on production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on the packing line, ensuring all products meet strict quality standards (appearance, closure torque, fill weight, seal integrity, boxing, and palletising).
- Supervise and support Line Operatives, ensuring everyone is clear on their duties and working safely.
- Complete production paperwork accurately, ensuring traceability and compliance.
- Detect and report any product non-conformities, stopping the line if necessary and escalating issues to management.
- Operate machinery safely (start, stop, reset), and assist with troubleshooting breakdowns.
- Maintain a clean and organised line area, including label storage and component management.
- Support with training, coaching, and setting clear expectations for the team.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety and company policies, including PPE usage and safe working practices.
- Complete daily metrics and handovers, contributing to continuous improvement (5S, Kaizen).
About You:
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment, ideally with some supervisory or team leader experience.
- Confident working nights and leading by example on the production floor.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team.
Shifts Available:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Week 1; Thursday, Friday, Saturday week 2. Each shift is 36.75 hours per week.
