About the Role
Recruitable Staffing are recruiting for an experienced Sales Estimator to join a busy engineering and manufacturing business within their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with technical information, customer RFQs and manufacturing costings. The role would suit a commercially minded individual with strong analytical skills, good attention to detail and experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and completing RFQs, working closely with customers and internal departments, and ensuring quotations and documentation are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting and completing customer RFQs professionally and accurately
- Preparing quotations and costings in line with customer requirements
- Supporting sales handovers and wider commercial activities
- Completing customer tool logs, Tool Approval Documents and rolled-up cost checks
- Liaising with customers during the design-for-manufacture stage
- Supporting PPAP activity where required, including run-out rates and capacity documentation
- Working closely with suppliers, customers and internal departments
- Ensuring internal documentation is controlled, accurate and completed on time
Skills and Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a sales estimating, commercial, technical estimating or manufacturing support role
- Engineering or manufacturing experience/knowledge
- Ability to read engineering drawings or CAD information
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and good general computer literacy
- MRP system experience
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with customers and suppliers
- An analytical, proactive and organised approach to work
