Salary: £13.77 per hour
Location: Coventry area
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:30pm, Friday: 6:00am - 11:00am
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional with a strong background in machine setting and operation. The successful candidate will play an important role in producing high-quality components in line with production schedules, customer specifications, and quality standards. The role will involve setting and operating 5-axis laser cutting machinery, reading and working from engineering drawings, and ensuring parts are manufactured accurately and efficiently. This position would suit someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has a strong eye for detail, and is confident working in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities- Set and operate 5-axis laser cutting machinery
- Manufacture components in line with production schedules
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to support accurate setup and production
- Monitor machine performance and adjust settings where required
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and workmanship
- Support with additional tasks as required by the business
- Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing environment
- Experience setting machinery to meet drawing tolerances and customer specifications
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures
- Able to work to deadlines and production schedules
- Previous experience operating or setting 5-axis laser machinery
- Experience of Prima Power control systems
