Job Description

Recruitable Staffing Solutions is recruiting Parcel Sorters / Scanners for a busy parcel distribution centre based in Carlisle.

We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join an established warehouse operation, supporting the sorting, scanning and movement of parcels ready for dispatch.

This is a physically active role within a fast-paced environment, ideal for candidates who enjoy practical warehouse work.

Key Responsibilities

• Sorting parcels accurately into designated areas.
• Scanning parcels using handheld scanning equipment.
• Loading, unloading and moving parcels around the warehouse.
• Ensuring parcels are correctly processed and ready for dispatch.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.
• Working efficiently as part of a team to meet operational deadlines.

Working Hours

• Initial working hours: 03:00-09:00.
• Hours will move to 00:00-09:00 as operational requirements increase.
• Candidates must be flexible and available to work both shift patterns.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse or parcel sorting experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work early morning and overnight shifts.
• Comfortable with manual handling and physically demanding work.
• Good attention to detail when sorting and scanning parcels.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Safety boots and a hi-vis vest are essential.
• Available to start immediately.
