RecruitAbility are looking for an experienced Project Design Engineer, to join their client’s successful, expanding team. As a Project Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of bespoke engineering solutions. Working closely with customers, project managers, and manufacturing teams, you will ensure successful design and installation of high-quality products.
The Role of Project Design Engineer:
- Design bespoke solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- Manage and oversee installation projects independently or in collaboration with Project Managers.
- Work closely with manufacturing and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Liaise with outsourced suppliers, including site visits where necessary.
- Interpret construction drawings, extract relevant data, and integrate it into designs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the construction industry.
- Attend site meetings as required.
To be considered for the role of Project Design Engineer:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar design or project engineering role.
- Proficiency in AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD (or similar design software).
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing techniques such as sheet metal fabrication, riveting, bonding, and welding.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A valid UK passport is essential due to security clearance.
- Valid UK driving licence (held for at least 5 years).
The Package for Project Design Engineer:
- Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)
