The Role
We're looking for an experienced Goods In Operative to join a busy warehouse team based in Saffron Walden. This is a key role within a newly established warehouse facility, supporting the smooth flow of goods from delivery through to workshop and dispatch.
You'll be responsible for managing incoming deliveries, checking stock accurately, and ensuring everything is correctly recorded and routed internally. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in keeping things organised, accurate and running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and unloading deliveries into the warehouse
- Checking goods against delivery notes and purchase orders
- Carrying out quality and quantity checks (QA) on incoming stock
- Accurately booking goods into the system
- Organising, labelling and storing stock within high racking
- Operating a counterbalance forklift truck
- Supporting the internal flow of goods from goods-in through to workshop
- Assisting with stock control and general warehouse organisation
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a Goods In / warehouse role
- Confident working with stock control and delivery documentation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Counterbalance forklift licence (essential)
- Comfortable working with high racking
- Reliable, hands-on and happy to get stuck in
- Good communication skills and a team player
Package
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday. Full time.
