Assembly Operative
Location: Bishop's Stortford
Salary: £27,000 - £28,000 depending on experience
Hours: 8:30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday

RecruitAbility are looking for an experienced, practical, hands-on Assembly Operative to join a friendly and well-established business near Bishop's Stortford.
This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys working with their hands and has some previous soldering experience.
You don't need an electronics or engineering background and you certainly don't need to be an expert! The role can be easily learned and full training will be provided. What's most important is that you can solder, have a good eye for detail and are willing to learn.
What you'll be doing
- Soldering and assembling components and products
- Carrying out basic checks and testing
- Using hand tools and other workshop equipment
- Following straightforward instructions
- Spotting any obvious faults or problems
- Completing basic paperwork
- Helping with other tasks within the workshop when needed
About you
There are two essential requirements for this role:
- You must have previous soldering experience
- You must drive and have your own car due to the location of the office
Other than that, we're looking for someone who is:
- Practical and enjoys hands-on work
- Confident using hand tools.
- Careful and accurate
- Keen and willing to learn
- Reliable with a good work ethic
- Happy working as part of a team
Previous assembly, production, electronics or workshop experience would be useful.
The package
Salary: £27,000 - £28,000 depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm
