  • Term: Permanent, 40 hours per week, plus overtime

Our client is looking for an experienced Office Fitter to deliver and install office furniture at customer sites and support commercial fit-out projects with the delivery of site materials.

This is a practical, customer-facing role for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work, communicates confidently with clients and can solve problems on site.

This is not a 9 to 5!

There will be early starts and late finishes, and overtime is paid at time and a half.

Because of the nature of the business, some work needs to be carried out outside of office hours, evenings and weekends.

You will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the role, and the company will be flexible in return.

Core working hours are 40 hours, Monday to Saturday as required.

The role of Office Furniture Fitter

  • Deliver and install office furniture at customer sites to a high standard, in line with specifications and agreed timescales.
  • Support fit-out projects by delivering site materials, including plasterboard, ceiling tiles and similar items.
  • Represent the company professionally with clients and site contacts, maintaining reliable timekeeping across all visits and deliveries.
  • Identify and resolve practical issues independently, escalating problems when appropriate.
  • Handle, transport and store furniture and materials safely, following health and safety requirements on active construction and fit-out sites.
  • Work with the Logistics and Client Liaison Coordinator and Warehouse Manager to plan routes, deliveries and installations, completing all paperwork and job sign-offs accurately.
  • To be successful in the role of Office Furniture Fitter
  • Previous experience in furniture fitting, installation or a similar hands-on trade role is essential.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a professional, friendly manner and pride in the quality of your work.
  • Reliable, hard-working and able to solve practical problems confidently when working independently on site.
  • Flexible to work 40 hours across Monday to Saturday at the company's discretion, with overtime when required.
  • Physically fit, comfortable with manual handling and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.
  • A valid UK driving licence is needed - joinery, electrical, trades experience would be advantageous

A full security check including DBS will be carried out for this role.

The salary and package for the Office Furniture Fitter role

Competitive salary, depending on experience.
