RecruitAbility is looking for a fully qualified accountant to join a small, close-knit accountancy practice.
This friendly, professional team takes a proactive approach to supporting its clients. Alongside preparing accounts, you'll help business owners understand their financial position, manage cash flow and make informed decisions.
With flexible part-time hours and predominantly home-based working, this opportunity could suit someone returning to work or an experienced accountant looking for a better balance around other commitments. School-friendly hours will be considered.
The role will initially be approximately 21 hours per week, with the opportunity to increase your hours as the business grows.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and reviewing accounts and financial reports.
Producing management accounts, budgets and cash flow forecasts.
Building client relationships and attending meetings to discuss financial performance and future plans.
Explaining financial information clearly and offering practical support to business owners.
Supporting clients with accounting queries and helping improve their financial processes.
Using Xero, QuickBooks and Sage, working closely with colleagues to provide a responsive service.
What we're looking for
A fully qualified accountant, ideally ACA or ACCA.
Two years' relevant experience, with practice experience preferred.
Confidence working independently, managing priorities and taking responsibility for your work.
Strong communication skills and a personable approach to client relationships.
Good attention to detail and an interest in helping businesses develop.
Experience with accounting software; familiarity with Xero, QuickBooks or Sage would be helpful.
