Job Description

Our client is looking for a confident veterinary surgeon to take the reins and step into this sought-after position in a desirable location. They are seeking a confident and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their well-established and highly regarded small animal practice in Tooting, Wandsworth. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinary professional to step into a senior role or for someone looking to advance their career with leadership training provided.

About the Role:

Located in one of the top 10 coolest neighbourhoods in the world, as ranked by Lonely Planet, this position offers the chance to work in a vibrant and diverse community. The clinic is situated in a convenient location on the Northern Line and is well-known in the local area for its high standards of patient and client care.

The role includes a rota of:

  • 3 days a week from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm.
  • 1 day a week from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
  • Participation in a 1:3 Saturday morning branch rotation.
  • A 1:10 Sunday rotation at a nearby 24-hour hospital.
  • 1 bank holiday per year.
  • There are no on-call requirements for this role.

About The Candidate:

The successful candidate will be confident in general practice, comfortable with routine surgeries, and enjoy working as part of a small, supportive team. Leadership training will be provided if this is the candidate's first senior position.

About the Practice:

The practice is fully equipped with modern facilities, including an in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy. The team is composed of skilled professionals, including a senior Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN), a part-time RVN, trainee nurses, and a supportive management team.

The practice benefits from close collaboration with a 24-hour hospital in Wimbledon, which has its dedicated night team, providing additional support for complex cases.
