Practice Facilities: They are fortunate to have a very varied caseload and cases can be worked up locally allowing you to develop any specific interests you have, with certification encouraged and fully funded. And due to having support from Referral Vets you can also gain experience from Orthopaedic Vets and Advanced soft tissue Surgeons. Proud owners of an ISFM Silver Certificate Cat-Friendly Clinic award, a RAW Silver Rabbit Friendly award, and an approved Veterinary Nurse Training Practice, they also have all the facilities and equipment you would expect from a thriving GP small animal practice.

The Role: They have an unmissable opportunity for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly team in a well-established practice where some of their colleagues have worked since its doors opened!

Hours: This is a fast-paced practice so ideally this is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week inclusive of 1 in 5 weekends. However, if these hours don’t quite suit you, we’d still love to hear from you and would be very happy to talk to you about your preferred hours.

Skills/Experience: Due to the nature of this role, they are looking for an experienced vet with broad GP skills, leadership capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and someone who will thrive from learning from the varied caseload seen whilst providing the highest level of veterinary care. You will be pivotal in shaping the standards within the practice and putting your stamp on how care for your patients is provided. You’ll be joining an excellent team with fellow vets that are keen to learn from you and develop their skills, junior vets who need mentoring, as well as a very supportive and experienced nurse and non-clinical team.

Salary: Excellent salary of up to £80,000 p/a (DOE). No out-of-hours. 5.6 weeks holiday including bank holidays (pro rata), increasing with service. Paid professional memberships including RCVS and VDS. Dedicated CPD allowance including funding for Certificates. Life assurance 4 x annual salary. Contributory pension scheme.
