Production Manager

Production Manager sought by a global, £multibillion plastics manufacturer with close to 200 locations worldwide.   They are looking for a commercially astute, practical Production Manager to lead their 11,000 sq. ft production plant near Heathrow, across sales administration, finance, supervision and shop-floor assembly.   The Role: In this hands-on Production Manager role, you will create a safe, efficient and customer-focused operation, while improving delivery performance, quality, stock accuracy and site profitability.   Your key responsibilities will include: Site leadership and employee management Creating a positive culture that fosters accountability, where everyone is clear on their responsibilities and duties are delegated appropriately, with all clear on the required KPIs Production planning and delivery, ensuring the site is able to maintain the required level of productivity in a safe and efficient manner Quality, safety and stock control Commercial and financial management, you will oversee the management of stock, purchase orders, providing clear product and account profitability reports Actively participating in Finance and Production meetingsThis is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys running a business locally and operationally, from order through to dispatch.   Your skills & experience as Production Manager: An experienced Site, Production or Operations Manager who has previously run, or played a substantial role in running, a small-to-medium manufacturing, assembly or bespoke-build operation Proven experience managing a production or operational site from order intake through to delivery Experience leading multi-functional teams, including shop-floor colleagues and office-based support functions Strong knowledge of production planning, lead-time management, stock control, purchasing and quality assurance Experience in made-to-order, bespoke, joinery, furniture, interiors, fit-out, light manufacturing or assembly – or a related environment Commercial awareness and confidence working with costs, invoicing, budgets and P&L measures A hands-on, organised approach with confidence to make decisions and resolve issues quickly Clear communication skills and credibility with colleagues, suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders A continuous-improvement mindset and good understanding of health and safety responsibilitiesBenefits: £40,000 - £50,000 salary depending on experience Monday to Friday 32 days holidays including bank holidays, rising to 33 days after 2 years’ service  Time off in lieu Pension scheme Free flu jabs Health & wellbeing Annual Occupational Health screenings Option to buy and sell holiday   Cycle to Work scheme Long service awards Company rewards platform Employee assistance programme Internal training academy Access to external training and supported education Social culture and events  Production Manager   Hounslow, London (near Heathrow)   £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience + benefits
