Product Engineer sought by the Windows division of a multibillion construction products manufacturer to join their team in Ross-on-Wye. This global organisation has nearly 200 locations worldwide and supplies to a range of industries including construction, industrial and automotive industries. Due to retirement, they have an opportunity for a Product Design professional with construction industry experience to join their head office Technical department. Your Role as Product Engineer: As a Product Engineer, you will report Head of Production Management, as an integral part of the Technical team. Your duties will include: Designing window profiles, doors (including sliding around a dozen different systems, with multiple variations within those systems Working on new and existing products (circa 50/50 split depending on experience) Designing new types of window profiles and doors, and managing changes and developments to existing products Working on around 2-3 projects at any given time Direct liaison with fabricator clients, giving information and responding to queries regarding technical information etc. Taking the lead on some projects including product testing (weather performance, security etc) ensuring that products adhere to British Standards Discussing hardware requirements with hardware suppliers Working closely the company s UK-based extrusion factory, and development teams...
