Assembly Operative sought by a global, £multibillion plastics manufacturer with close to 200 locations worldwide. They are recruiting three positions, initially on a Fixed Term Contract for 3 months with scope for extension. 30 hours per week, afternoon shifts: Monday to Thursday 5pm – 11pm, Friday 1pm – 7pm.
The Role
- Working on the assembly line and producing products based on specific measurements, calculations, drawings or instructions under the supervision of the Assembly Shift Team Leader.
- Packing boxes, loading and unloading materials and finished goods and adhering to safety protocols.
- Inspecting assembled products for any faults or defects.
- Reporting incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections on the assembly line to Assembly Shift Team Leader.
- Following established safety and efficiency procedures to ensure that operations run smoothly.
Your Experience as Assembly Operative
- Previous experience in light production and hands on assembly work.
- Familiar working to a production plan.
- Able to work individually and as part of a team.
- You will be attentive to detail.
- Takes pride in your work.
- The ability to understand and receive instructions.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on one’s own initiative.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and regulations.
- CNC experience is desirable.
- A forklift licence would be an advantage, but not essential.
- A solid understanding of production machinery and proper assembly procedures would be an advantage, but not essential.
