Recruit4staff are representing a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing business in their search for an EC&I Engineer to work in North Wales.
Pay: Up to £62,500 per annum
Hours of Work: 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights)
Duration: Permanent

Job Role: As the EC&I Engineer, you will provide specialist electrical, control and instrumentation expertise within the shift maintenance team, ensuring equipment reliability, regulatory compliance and uninterrupted product supply. The EC&I Engineer will own and execute the site's cGMP calibration programme, ensuring instrumentation and control systems remain compliant, accurate and audit-ready while acting as the on-shift technical expert for fault diagnosis and resolution.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as an EC&I Engineer within a fast-paced regulated manufacturing environment
- Experience in PLC fault-finding and interrogating control systems to diagnose root causes
- Broad knowledge of instrumentation and measurement systems
- Time-served apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent) in Electrical, Control or Instrumentation Engineering
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of cGMP, ISO standards and regulatory expectations for computerised systems, including FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and GAMP5
- Direct experience calibrating temperature and pressure instruments
