Recruit4staff is recruiting Food Production Operatives for an expanding food production business located in Wrexham and Whitchurch. Training will take place in Corwen until the site moves to Wrexham in January 2026, and free shuttle buses are available from Wrexham, Oswestry, Chirk, Froncysyllte, and Llangollen to the Corwen site.
Pay & Working Hours
- Pay: 6am–2pm Monday to Friday: £12.52 per hour (including a shift allowance)
- 2pm–10pm Monday to Friday: £13.67 per hour (including a shift allowance)
- 10pm–6am Sunday to Thursday: £14.81 per hour (including a shift allowance)
Hours of Work: ADHOC shifts (as required)
Duration: Temp‑to‑perm position with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Location & Commute
Wrexham, Llay, Ruabon, Froncysyllte, Llangollen; or Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Wrexham, Ellesmere, Whitchurch, Wem, Chirk, Nantwich.
Role & Responsibilities
- The Food Production Operatives will be responsible for operating machinery, packing and labelling food products, loading ingredients into machines, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and production accuracy within a fast‑paced team.
- Packing, cutting blocks of cheese to specified sizes, palletising, unboxing products.
- Heavy lifting up to 20kg.
- Quality checking and managing rejects from production lines.
- Following food and hygiene regulations on site.
- Working with a team of around 6-8 people.
- Supervising the correct running of various machines to ensure quality finished product.
- Maintaining daily/weekly cleaning documents.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Good attendance record.
- Must be able to read labels and paperwork when required.
- Must be comfortable with heavy lifting up to 20kg.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food production environment.
- Previous experience within the food manufacturing industry.
- Picking, packing, palletising experience.
