Overview
Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading manufacturing company in their search for a Wood Machinist to work in their leading facility in Telford.
The hiring manager would prefer someone who has worked on a CNC Router or in a Workshop doing Woodwork.
Salary and terms
- Hourly rate of up to £13 per hour – This will depend on experience
- Monday to Thursday 7am – 5pm, Friday 7am – 3pm
- Overtime opportunities
- Temporary – Permanent position
The Role of the Wood Machinist
- Operating a wood routing CNC machine
- Working to different specifications
- Sanding down of wood
- Daily use of hand and power tools including air and nail guns
- Using a variety of saws within the workshop
- Following Health & Safety guidelines
- Lifting of different sizes of Wooden boards
- Sweeping up
What our client is looking for in a Wood Machinist
- Previous Machine Operating experience – ESSENTIAL
- Previous experience with a CNC Router – HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS
- This is a PHYSICAL role that will involve LIFTING different sizes of products
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Guidelines / Manual Handling
