Recruit4staff are representing a well-established, sector-leading manufacturing business that is searching for a Tool Maker to work in Liverpool.

Job Details

  • Pay: Up to £44,000 per annum
  • Hours of Work: Rotating shift pattern – 6 am to 2 pm, 2 pm to 10 pm, 10 pm to 6 am
  • Duration: Permanent

Job Role

As a Tool Maker, you’ll be responsible for assembling, fitting and repairing tools used in a manufacturing setting, specifically injection moulding tools. Daily tasks include interpreting engineering drawings, marking out designs, and using hand tools and machinery such as lathes, grinders and milling machines to manufacture or repair tools. You will monitor tool performance on production lines, attend breakdowns and contribute to tool maintenance and reporting duties.

Essential Skills, Experience or Qualifications

  • Proven background in tool repair and installation work
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining, milling and lathe operations
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
  • Competence in using precision measuring equipment
  • C&G/NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering

Advantageous Skills, Experience or Qualifications

  • Abrasive Wheels Regulations certification
  • CAD/CAM experience or qualifications
  • Experience working with injection moulding machinery or tooling
