Recruit4staff is recruiting for a Production Operative (Metal Work) role based in St Helens. The position is Temp‑to‑Perm, paid at £14 per hour with a weekly attendance bonus. Working hours are Monday‑Thursday 7:45‑4:30 and Friday 7:45‑12:45 (38 hours per week).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and paint metal components used in the construction sector, including cleaning, prep, and shot‑blasting materials before wet spray paint finishes.
- Operate a counterbalance forklift to move materials safely.
- Support other departments as required.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Production Operative (Metal Work) or similar role involving wet spray painting.
- Proven experience in cleaning, preparing, and shot‑blasting metal components prior to painting.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced industrial environment spraying various sizes and shapes of products.
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (in‑house or expired licences may be considered).
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
- NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Spray Painting or similar.
