Recruit4staff are representing a well-established manufacturing business in their search for a Site Transport Controller to work in Bootle.
Pay: £13.45 per hour
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 3:30pm, Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm
Duration: Temporary (approximately 3 months)
Responsibilities:
- Control vehicle access to site
- Manage visiting drivers
- Check driver notes against manifests
- Issue passes
- Direct traffic to the correct areas
- Ensure drivers are wearing the correct PPE
- Explain site rules
- Monitor CCTV
- Report incidents and near misses
- Assist with Banksman duties
- Support the logistics department with loading and unloading during busy periods
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Previous experience within transport or logistics operations
- Good IT and organisational skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Experience working as a Site Transport Controller or similar
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- NEBOSH or similar health and safety qualification
- Banksman training
Additional Information:
Temporary assignment expected to last approximately three months initially.
