For the successful QA Assistant, our client is offering:

  • Competitive salary of up to £29,754 per annum D.O.E
  • 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday, 16:30 Friday (39.5 hours per week)
  • Company benefits include auto-enrolment pension.
  • After a year’s service benefits include extra week’s holiday, life cover, health cash plan plus flexible benefits.

The Role of the QA Assistant includes:

  • Checking records from the factory quality documentation
  • Closing and raising non-conformances and reviewing weekly trends
  • Carrying out regular internal audits on quality aspects of production
  • Heavy involvement in customer and external audits
  • Challenging quality standards and procedures and identifying areas of improvement where possible
  • Any other duties/projects that are reasonable and within the skills and ability of the post holder
  • Reporting any issues that arise
  • Completing all relevant quality related paperwork
  • Adhering to food hygiene standards

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment - ESSENTIAL
  • Experience carrying out internal audits and competently dealing with external audits - ESSENTIAL
  • Quality background within a food environment - PREFERRED
  • Familiar with food hygiene standards/procedures.
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
