Recruit4staff are representing a well-established engineering business in their search for a PVC Pipefitter to work in their Skelmersdale workshop and across their various UK project sites.
Pay: Up to £22 per hour (PAYE)
Hours of Work: 07.30 – 16.30 Monday to Thursday, 07.00 – 12.00 Friday
Duration: Temp to Perm (long-term work with a good chance of a permanent contract)
Job Role
The PVC Pipefitter will be responsible for the assembly and installation of pipework in the workshop and on customer sites. The role includes measuring, cutting, fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing pipe systems, carrying out fusion welding when required, and working accurately from technical drawings.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a PVC Pipefitter within chemical or industrial sector projects using PVC pipework
- Ability to work from drawings to cut and fabricate pipework
- Strong knowledge of site health and safety procedures
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
- NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent in a mechanical engineering discipline
- Ideally Georg Fischer (GF) trained
- Current CCNSG or CSCS Card
Additional Information
The PVC Pipefitter role involves working on customer sites across the UK, which may include out-of-town work. Commutable From Skelmersdale, Warrington, Ormskirk, Haydock, Wigan, St Helens, Liverpool, Manchester.
