Recruit4Staff are proud to be representing their client, a well-known Fabrication & Welding company, in their search for a Machine Shop Operative to work in their workshop based in Wem.

For the successful Machine Shop Operative, our client is offering

• £14.44 per hour – Reviewed after 3 months
• Opportunity for overtime
• Temp to Perm position
• The basic factory opening hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30-4:30, with a 12:30 finish on Fridays.
• 29 days holiday (including bank holidays)
• Company pension
• Free Parking

The Role – Machine Shop Operative:

• Perform work in accordance with the company Health & Safety procedures
• Be highly motivated
• Work effectively, ensuring the workplace is kept in a clean and orderly manner

What our client is looking for in a Machine Shop Operative:

• Must have manual milling & lathes experience – Essential
• The opportunity is available for the right candidate to expand their own skill set and progress to a position utilising the CNC mill and lathes
• Must be able to read, interpret and work to engineering drawings with minimal supervision
• Have experience operating manual drills, milling machines and manual lathes
• Be comfortable working on one off pieces and other small batch work
• Be able to use measuring equipment
