Overview

Recruit4Staff are representing their client, a well-known Fabrication & Welding company, in their search for a Machine Shop Manager to work in their workshop based in Wem.

What is offered

  • Annual basic salary up to £40,000 per annum (D.O.E)
  • Permanent Role
  • 29 days holiday (including bank holidays)

The basic factory opening hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30-4:30, with a 12:30 finish on Fridays. The successful candidate would be expected to work the hours necessary to fulfil their duties in conjunction with the fabrication manager, typically including alternate Saturdays.

The Role – Machine Shop Manager

  • Managing a team within the Machine Shop
  • Managing the sheet metal fabrication and machining side of the business
  • Planning work and adhering to deadlines
  • Overseeing health & safety within the workshop

Liaising with the other Workshop Manager & Factory Manager

Utilise the bespoke management software to monitor, manage, and progress works orders throughout the facility

Ensure all required data within the management software is recorded correctly

What our client is looking for in a Machine Shop Manager

  • Minimum of 3 year’s experience in a similar role – ESSENTIAL
  • You MUST have experience with CNC Milling, Lathes & Manual machines – ESSENTIAL
  • You have experience with sheet metal fabrication – DESIRABLE
