For the successful Quality Inspector, our client is offering:
- Up to £14.50 per hour DOE
- Monday to Friday - 7.30 am to 3:45 pm
- Productivity Bonus
- 22 days paid Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays and Xmas Shutdown (2 weeks)

The Role - Quality Inspector
- Responsible for the inspection of manufactured and brought in products confirming compliance with specification and quality requirements
- Adherence to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operating procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality
- Ensuring products are to the correct tolerances meeting quality standards and specifications
- Carry out internal process and product audits
- Raising of NCR's and assisting with corrective actions
- The ability to take a methodical and systematic approach to your work
- Update and maintain inspection documents, forms, logs, conformance certificates and other records
- Approving or rejecting raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance
- Utilising measuring tools and equipment to ensure products meet the required specifications
- Any other tasks deemed a part of your role by Management
- Permanent role
- Measure performance and identify any areas of weakness, recommending and implementing improvements
- Liaise with other managers and staff and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards
- Assess the effectiveness of changes made
- Lead initiatives in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing
- Ensure compliance with emerging standards (such as the international standard of ISO 9001:2015, IATF16949, ISO14001)
- Train and manage a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors
- Analysed Quality metrics (KPI's, defect rates, audit results) and reported performance and improvement plans to senior managers
What our client is looking for in a Quality Inspector:
- Ability to read and interpret drawings - ESSENTIAL
- Proven experience in a Quality based role - ESSENTIAL
- Experience of Auditing - ESSENTIAL
- Level 2 Qualification in Quality related discipline - DESIRABLE
- Recent experience in a modern manufacturing environment
- Good level of numeracy and literacy
- Working knowledge of health and safety practices
