Job Summary

Recruit4staff are representing a well-established waste management business in their search for a LGV Driver to work in Rowley Regis.

Job Details

  • Pay: £14.88 per hour, with up to £168 in bonuses per month (compliance, safety)
  • Start Time: 5am
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Benefits: Related Development Opportunities (once established), 20 Days Holiday (increases with LOS)
  • x 1.5 Overtime after 40 hours

Job Role

As a LGV Driver, you will be responsible for completing routes while safely navigating narrow streets and tight roads. The role will involve loading and unloading goods, completing vehicle safety checks, securing loads, completing all required paperwork. The LGV Driver will also be expected to keep in regular contact with the transport office, meet scheduled delivery times and follow all relevant road safety, drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

  • Previous HGV/LGV driving experience
  • Valid Class 1 or 2 licence
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Driver Card
  • Experience navigating large vehicles down tight, narrow lanes

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

  • Previous experience driving Skip Loaders or Refuse Trucks

Additional Information

  • Up to £168 in bonuses per month
  • Support towards ongoing development
  • Vehicle faults or damage must be reported promptly
  • The HGV Class 2 Driver will be expected to follow all company procedures and maintain high standards of safety
