Recruit4staff are representing a well-established Environmental Services business in their search for a HGV Driver to work in Birmingham
- Pay: £14.88 per hour (Overtime available after 40 hours paid at 1.5x rate, performance-related bonus worth up to an additional £1,000+ per annum)
- Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 5:00am start, 40 hours per week
- Duration: Permanent
- Benefits: Standard pension scheme, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, performance-related bonus scheme, overtime at enhanced rates
Job Role: The HGV Driver will carry out daily pre-start vehicle compliance checks before safely operating a Class 2 vehicle across Birmingham and surrounding areas. The HGV Driver will collect commercial waste from customer sites while maximising safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. This HGV Driver role offers a permanent opportunity within a professional environmental services operation where high standards of driving and customer service are essential.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Class 2 Licence
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card or willingness to obtain one
- Previous experience as an HGV Driver
- Strong understanding of vehicle compliance and road safety requirements
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
- Refuse truck experience
- Experience driving HGVs through residential areas
- Previous waste management or environmental services experience
