Recruit4staff are representing a leading civil engineering and construction business in their search for a Head of Bid Management to work in Swindon
Job Details:
- Pay: Up to £110,000 per annum + Company Car/AllowanceÂ
- Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, Days role
- Duration: Permanent
- Benefits: 8% employer pension contribution, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, private medical cover
Job Role: The Head of Bid Management will provide strategic leadership to bid teams, ensuring work-winning targets are achieved while maintaining compliance with corporate governance and procurement procedures. This includes motivating teams, monitoring and influencing multiple bids concurrently, driving bid strategies aligned with organisational objectives, and leading individual bids while managing resources and line managing bid managers.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Sound knowledge of the UK construction market
- Knowledge of relevant procurement legislation
- Strong understanding of civil engineering
- Commercial awareness of different forms of contract
- Strong presentation and client communication skills
- Proven track record of winning complex, high-value tenders
- Experience managing multiple concurrent bids as a Head of Bid Management
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Business / Management (with strong construction background)
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
- ILM Level 5 or Level 7 in Leadership and Management
